A-hus Professional provided the building components for a new luxury hotel in Xilian Mountains, China. The hotel is situated in an an exlusive area 2,000 feet above the 11-million resident city Chengdu in the Sichuan province. The eight buildings with a total of 38 suites, resemble Rocky Mountain lodges and are made out of wood from the Swedish forest. The buildings are seismically retrofitted.
The contract was signed in July 2009 with the Chinese Ministry of Tourism and Culture. Building components were produced during two months in our manufacturing plant. The first house was transported by boat to Shanghai and then along the Yangtze River to Chongqing in Sichuan province in September, 2009. Our employees were on-site in China in order to oversee the project and educate Chinese construction workers on assembly technology. The first guest checked in at Christmas, December 2009.
